Overview

This position is responsible for the design and delivery of a variety of training courses to improve individual and organizational performance. Involves creating pro-active and responsive solutions to business needs and seizing opportunities for continuous improvement in individual, team, business unit and organizational performance. The scope of training responsibility includes: design and facilitate training related to policy, development, and competency. Developing and tracking metrics for Return On Investment and sustainability of engagement.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and facilitate training courses both live and on-line and/or other interventions for employees. Utilize one-on-one and group presentation and facilitation skills.
  2. Design of instructional materials for training designs and participant materials. Use a
  3. variety of learning/training concepts and principles along with knowledge of adult learning.
  4. Establish training objectives, strategies, policies and processes.
  5. Test trainees to measure progress and evaluate effectiveness of training. Maintain effective metrics. Revise training material based on metric's results.
  6. Ensure follow-up training is completed when necessary.
  7. Complete management and update of the online training software, including regular submission of monthly and quarterly reports.
  8. Conduct training needs analysis for organization and village levels.
  9. Maintain a tracking system for training content changes. Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
  10. Deliver training sessions on all aspects of business utilizing a variety of instructional
  11. techniques and formats such as lectures, classroom discussion, team exercises, focus groups, case studies, videos and other techniques and aids. Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, focus groups, interviews, or lectures.
  12. Conduct train-the-trainer sessions as needed, per project.
  13. Coordinate recruitment and placement of training program participants.
  14. Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings and training opportunities in order to keep informed on current information and skill development.
  15. Follow established policies and procedures including but not limited to:
    • Presbyterian Villages policies and procedures.
    • Safety policies and procedures.
    • Federal, state and local regulations.
  16. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Training & Development or related field
    • Master’s Degree preferred

 Experience :

  • Four+ years related experience

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in computer programs, Microsoft Office Applications

 

 Certificates & Licenses

  • Valid Driver’s License

 Other Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Human Resource Laws, policies, and regulations
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing training and education programs via webinar and classroom style instruction
  • Experience in team development processes
  • Experience tracking and evaluating training metrics
  • Experience in designing and developing, e-learning, instructor led, case studies, role- playing, team building, learning games, simulations

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Lift/carry up to 20 lbs.

 WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee will work in a normal office environment. Will spend a great deal of time traveling and presenting to small and large groups.
