    Responsibilities

    Primary responsibilities include administering nursing care according to physician’s orders, established standards and administrative policies under the supervision of a licensed nurse, and assisting with activities of daily living.

     

    There are many important duties including, but not limited to:

     

    • Observing, reporting, and documenting symptons and conditions of residents.
    • Visiting with residents periodically and verifying care is being provided.
    • Taking and recording vital signs, and documenting on activity attendance sheets, and other forms.
    • Assist licensed nurse in recording residents intake and output.
    • Ensuring the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident is adhered to according to Resident Rights.
    • Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for identifying the spiritual, social, recreational, emotional, and daily needs of the residents.
    • Participating in community planning for the interests of the community, services and needs of residents and families.
    • Interviewing residents/ families as necessary and in a private setting.
    • Assisting each resident with their ever-changing needs due to cognitive & physical loss.
    • Maintaining Service Excellence Core Values and servicing residents, staff, volunteers, leaders, vendors, and all associated with the organization.

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    If caring for others is your passion, and these duties sound exciting to you, we need you on our team!  You must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalency, and you must be 18 years or older.  Previous experience as a caregiver in a geriatric environment such as nursing home, home health care, hospital, rehab facility, is preferred.
