    Primary responsibilities include providing daily maintenance in resident apartments and throughout the community as assigned. 


    There are many important duties including, but not limited to:


    • Building, installing, repairing and/or maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, building systems and outside environment.
    • Inspecting grounds, facilities, and equipment routinely to determine necessity of repairs or maintenance. Inspect, operate, test, maintains and repairs mechanical devices, machinery, equipment and tools. Maintaining and repair specialized equipment and machinery.
    • Installing, assembling, repairing and maintaining electrical and gas appliances, equipment, systems, fixtures, lights, electronic components, plumbing systems and fixtures.
    • Painting or repairing surfaces, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
    • Maintaining by providing landscaping (trimming, cutting, weeding, & planting) and snow removal(plowing, shoveling, and salting) to ensure their appearance and safety for employees, residents and visitors.
    • Fabricating, installing, repairing, maintaining and replaceing structural items such as counters, cabinets, partitions, floor and ceiling tile, gutters, roofs, etc.
    • Preparing assigned areas for various activities and events by clearing and/or rearranging furniture, setting up equipment, removing trash, etc.
    • Monitoring building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and looking for hazards.
    • Moving heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies following safety procedures

    You must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalency, and you must be 18 years or older. Previous experience in maintenance, and good handy-person skills preferred, including working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills.  Varied working hours include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.  Subject to call-back during emergency conditions (severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
