    Presbyterian Villages of Michigan, a premier senior housing and services organization, has a great opportunity for you to join our team and share your skills and talents related to health, wellness, and activities.  We are seeking a Wellness Assistant who has a passion for working in a senior care environment, and enjoys engaging seniors through wellness, fitness, and  activities.   

    Responsibilities

     

    The Wellness Assistant for this very important role within the organization, will enjoy:

     

    1. Motivating residents to attend and participate in wellness activities.
    2. Ability to devise resident projects, instruct residents, and stimulate their interest
    3. Assisting residents with wellness activities and events including but not limited to:

     

     

     

    • Transporting, within Village, and outside of the Village (Commercial Drivers License with a passenger endorsement required)
      Executing skills (motor, sensory, etc)

     

    • Monitors and maintains inventory of wellness supplies.

     

    • Assisting with resident gift shop, crafts, or wellness projects.

     

    • Assisting in the development and publication of wellness announcements, newsletter, and advertising. Ability to maintain favorable public relations.

     

    • Assisting in the development and planning of the events calendar.

     

    • Assisting in creating, developing and facilitating a comprehensive wellness program that is preventative, holistic in nature and addresses mind, body and spirit dimensions.

     

    • Monitoring, assists with records, reports and maintains appropriate documentation regarding residents’ ability, participation, interest, attendance, etc.

     

    • In addition, this dynamic Wellness Assistant will embrace, uphold, and promote Presbyterian Villages of Michigan’s mission, vision, beliefs, values, strategic goals, objectives and Servant Leadership.

    A High School Diploma or G.E.D is required. Previous experience working in a senior environment, health and fitness capacity is a plus.
