    The Memory Care Manager is responsible for coordination of all clinical, programming and staffing aspects of the Memory Care Program at the Community. This care includes assisting the residents and their families in maintaining the physical and emotional health of each individual.  In addition, all aspects of the program including oversight (administration, supervision, and appropriate documentation) of all medications. Maintain program standards. Organize, monitor and direct an ongoing activity-based program consistent with company and community philosophy. Assure staff training for activity-based program success. Assist in care-giving as needed.



    • Work with all staff in your department to ensure Service Excellence values are met and maintained. Ensure that performance reviews have been completed in your department not less than quarterly (i.e. completed at least four times each year) resulting in a score 90% or greater. Conduct and document weekly/bi weekly team meetings.



    • Responsible for managing the Dementia Program for residents requiring Memory Care services. Develop and maintain a high-quality program that meet our residents’ physical, social, cultural, spiritual, and intellectual needs. Assess each resident and develop programming that maximizes their abilities and provides contentment, enjoyment, and positive self-esteem. This position requires clinical knowledge of dementia care, leadership abilities, and marketing skills.



    • Financial Management to ensure that your program is meeting/exceeding Net Operating Income (NOI). Maintain current and accurate spend-down worksheets. Maintain budgeted hours per resident day.



    • Sales and Marketing responsibilities include meeting or exceeding budgeted occupancy.



    • Participate in personal visits for prospective residents and/or families. Actively participate in outreach in accordance with the marketing plan.



    • Ensure that elopement policies are being followed.



    • Ensure that you and all staff in your department have been properly trained and are knowledgeable in the use of the Risk Management, Injury and Illness prevention manual, MSDS books, and Emergency Preparedness Manual.



    • Ensure that you and all staff in your department respond to all community calls received via paging system as if they are urgent.



    • Maintain Service Excellence Core Values during employment and servicing residents, staff, volunteers, leaders, vendors, and all associated with the organization.






    Education –

    • Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent helath care or social work related curriculum preferred.


    • Bachelor of Science or Bachelors of Arts preferred.


    • An equivalent combination of experience, education, and other qualifications may be considered.



    Experience -

    • Recent supervisory experience within the senior housing industry, services for the aging and/or dementia residents preferred.


    • Health care management experience preferred.




    Computer Skills-

    Efficient Computer knowledge and use of Microsoft products, word processing, spreadsheets database systems, time keeping systems, online learning systems, email and all other computer generated systems.


    Certificates & Licenses:

    Credential in Alzheimer’s Care, Home Care, and/or Assisted Living Management as per applicable state requirements.

    Current CPR and First Aid credentials.
