  • Overview

     

    Receive, verify, and pay all bills and invoices for organization. Operate account payable software to record all vendor information, invoices, and payments.

    Responsibilities

    1. Receive and review invoices for proper approvals.
    2. Prepare and review invoices for proper approvals for PVM Foundation
    3. Review invoices for appropriate sales taxes and proper general ledger codes.
    4. Perform data entry using accounts payable software to record, store, and analyze required vendor information.
    5. Reconcile or report discrepancies found on vendor invoices.
    6. Print and prepare all checks for payments.
    7. Provide assistance to internal managers seeking accounts payable purchasing data
    8. Provide accounts payable documentation and assistance to auditors.
    9. Organize and maintain payable files following established record retention procedures.
    10. Access computer data files and vendor files to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.
    11. Sort and file correspondence.
    12. Analyze vendor accounts as requested
    13. Review and organize replacement reserve request
    14. Manage office supplies and place orders
    15. Provide backup support to Payroll Manager
    16. Reconcile, prepare and distribute annual 1099 forms and any other required reporting
    17. Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings and training opportunities in order to keep informed on current information and skill development.
    18. Follow established policies and procedures including but not limited to:
      • Presbyterian Villages of Michigan policies and procedures.
      • Safety policies and procedures.
      • Federal, state and local regulations.

    All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

     

    Experience: Three to four years related experience

     

    Computer Skills

    • Ability to operate a computer
    • Proficient in database, spreadsheet, word processing software.
