Experience with the design, installation, maintenance, or repair of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems.
1. Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and Forced Air, and Hydronic Heating Systems and equipment.
2. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
3. Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems and performing non-warranty services. Contacting manufacturers for warranty related issues.
4. Ordering and maintaining capital equipment.
5. Capable of doing work that will meet local HVAC codes and keeping up on training or education on like systems.
6. Ability to work in confined spaces.
7. An understanding of advanced principals of air conditioning and heating, keeping up or getting the necessary local and State certificates that proves your understanding.
8. Maintaining HVAC certifications and ensuring that all work is performed consistent with required codes.
9. Attend and participate in all appropriate staff meetings and training opportunities in order to keep informed on current information and skill development.
3 – 4 years of relevant experience in the following: Warm air heating systems (electric and gas), water heating systems, tanks and pumps, ventilating systems, air conditioning systems, ducts, registers, flues, humidity, thermostats, control systems, air filtration, general knowledge of institutional building mechanical/electrical systems

EPA Certification required
State licensure and relevant certificates R-410A Certification, Indoor Air Quality
Certification, NATE Certification, and Preventive Maintenance HVAC Certification.
