Overview

Presbyterian Villages of Michigan, a premier senior living services non-profit organization, has a great opportunity to join our team at The Village of Westland as a Resident Assistant. We invite you to help us create new possibilities in quality living for the seniors we serve. 

Part-time A (approx 31 hours per week) available on the Afternoon (2:15pm -  10:30pm) and Midnight (10:15pm - 6:30am) shifts.  

Part-time B (approximately 24-27 hours per week) available on Days (6:15am - 2:30pm), Afternoons and Midnight shifts. 

Opportunity to pick up aditional shifts.

Responsibilities

Provides personal care services, guides, directs (using physical and verbal cues), assists residents with daily living activities (grooming, dressing, eating, bathing, etc), as well as appropriate activity programs. Encourages residents to function at their maximum capabilities. Administers medications and treatments. 

Qualifications

Must possess an understanding, caring and helpful attitude.

Previous experience with the geriatric population is beneficial and preferred but not required.

Must be 18 years old.

High School Graduate/ General Education Degree (GED).

No prior experience necessary.

Must be able to operate a computer.

Current First Aid and CPR certification desired but not required at time of hire.
